I will be living with Jay <3
I'm excited, and I think he is too. I am glad we waited this long. It feels legit.
I am moving into his place in Normal Heights. Its bigger, cheaper and you can be as loud as you want without the cops coming over. Late night Rock Band Parties? Yes, please.
I will be saving $500 a month which means NEW FURNITURE! And the landlord has mentioned putting in hardwood flooring, which is a must if you have seen Jay's carpet.
In other news, I'm going back to school this Fall. If you know me, you know I have just been working f/t at the lawfirm. The community college added evening classes that aren't 3+ hours long. Sweet. And I think I can squeeze in a morning class before work and MAAAYBE a saturday class. Either way, I need to get my JLo butt in gear.
I'm coming to Modesto in a few weeks. The night of July 17th I will be in SF, I'm staying at Jennifer's and we will probably go out for a few drinks somewhere, nothing crazy, but if you are around, please feel free to HOLLA.
Friday, the 18th through Sunday, the 21st I will be in Modesto. My little brother turns 21 and I promised him we would "do it up nicely". I'm thinking the Minnie's Outside Lounge? I will be in Modesto 4 full days so there's no excuses, call me! I'm pretty much down for anything. Bowling on Sunday night? a RockBand sesh or two? :)

In about 2 years (when Jay is done w/ school), Jay and I want to move to New York and just out of curiousity I started checking out housing prices and jobs. I seriously almost pissed myself when I saw how much they pay Legal Secretaries. I have about 5+ years experience as a Legal Secretary and I saw a job posting for a Legal Secretary to Senior Partner with a yearly salary of $85,000+. They ask for 5-10 years experience. I'm currently a secretary to ALL 3 partners of my lawfirm. I could actually have a chance of getting a job like that, and for $85,000 a year?!?! And on top of that, NY housing isn't really THAT much more than SD, considering Jay and I will live together, its totally do-able. I just feel a ton of relief knowing that I can make it in NY with the experience that I have. I'm pretty fucking excited about the present and the future. Things are looking up.

My new home!
Its located in Bankers Hill, right across the street from Balboa Park, gated garden setting, its a individual cottage amongst other cottages, hardwood floors, built in breakfast nook, original architect and charm, a faux fireplace... Ah its amazing.
I just put down the deposit today so its official. I move in Feb. 1st, a day before my birthday, its weird because I moved to SD on my bday and moved into my current place on my bday two years ago... crazy.
Speaking of my birthday, I think I want to get a group of my close peeps together to go bowling, get a few teams going, battle it out, drink pitchers of beer, eat pizza, y'know the works, anyone in?
Better start packing up my studio (!!!)

So as some of you know I don't have a car and am happily and unhappily a public transitter. A few times out of the month I give myself a Cab budget, for when I'm running late at Jay's house and I don't have time to sit on a 45 min Bus ride to work, well today was one of those days. Blame it on seeing Juliette and The Licks last night and coming home completely drenched from multiple people's sweat, dreadlocks and black makeup running down my face, it was amazing.
So I called a cab to pick me up at Jay's, for some reason I always get the same driver, this young indian guy, super polite and reserved, always keeps the radio off, y'know, a silent rider. Well we are about 5 or so minutes from my work and after 10 minutes of silence, he puts in a CD, its Alicia Keyes, he busted out singing "No one, no one, no onnnnnneeeee...", he sang the complete fucking song, pouring his heart into it, I even wanted to join in, its a damn good song. When the song was over he pulled out the CD and continued driving, in silence.
WHAT THE FUCK.
You go from driving in complete silence, to pouring your soul into an Alicia Keyes Song to then driving in complete silence again. It was the weirdest fucking thing AND at the same time, the coolest fucking thing.

You are someone I will never ever forget. I only wish I could have spent more time with you before you left.
I had a dream of you last week. We talked like usual, I told you how I felt and said my goodbyes, it felt so real. You looked great, prancing around, waiving your bracelets at me, wearing your red lipstick, telling me your latest tales. I miss that so much. I wish you got to stay at HN during your last years, I wish you didn't have to leave when you did, I wish, I wish...
I just hope you know I never once stopped thinking about you.
Last night I had bad feeling in my stomach, something that I couldn't swallow, I was thinking of you, knowing that it was going to be any day, wishing that Michael would be ok through all of this.
This morning I found out that you passed away yesterday, peacefully.
I knew it was coming, but it still hurts.
I love you and will miss you so very much. You will never be forgotten.

I'm excited.
I have decided to take on a pretty huge project, well for me at least.
A small online business.
I'm pretty excited. I have so many ideas, and it excites me just thinking about it.
It's definetly not an "original" idea, but its something I can do and I love doing and I think I can add a little bit of Jenna Spice to make it unique.
I've started the beginning phases, and I won't be completely ready to start it up until early to mid January.
This will be my side job/hobby. I have nights off/weekends so that gives me plenty of time to work on this project.
I'm not planning to make alot out of this little business plan. It's a hobby of mine and if I make a decent amount of money on it, great. If I make more than I thought, AWESOME!
Once I'm more set in stone and have something to show for, I will let you all know.
